FIFA 2026 – Volunteer Applications Open for Gillette Stadium Matches
he 2026 FIFA World Cup is expected to draw millions of fans from around the world to Southeastern New England. In case you missed it, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough has been selected to host seven tournament matches, and organizers are now looking for extra help.
FIFA and local organizers are aiming to recruit 65,000 volunteers to ensure the tournament runs smoothly. From the moment fans arrive at the airport to the time they enter the stadium, volunteers will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere.
“This is a massive global event, and we want to put our best foot forward,” organizers said. “Volunteers will be the helping hands and friendly faces greeting visitors and guiding them throughout the region.”
Volunteer roles will cover a wide range of responsibilities, including guest services, media support, catering, technology, and wayfinding making sure fans know where to go and how to access information. Organizers plan to match individuals with roles that best fit their skills.
All participants will receive official volunteer gear and a certificate recognizing their contribution.
Applications are already open, and officials encourage those interested to apply as soon as possible. The process includes interviews, background checks, and training sessions scheduled for early next year.
“This opportunity won’t come around again anytime soon,” organizers noted. “We expect a strong response, as many people are eager to be part of such a historic global event.”
To be eligible, volunteers must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English.
